Associate Director, Global Biologics and Virology
Reporting to the Director, Operations Global Biologics and Virology Martin Hayes and under the guidance of Jochen Salfeld, the new Associate Director will assist the Director in all areas to ensure the development and growth of the organization. The position is located in Worcester, Massachusetts. The Global Biologics and Virology Operations team is searching for a candidate with broad experience in drug discovery to provide strategic project and operational support across a diverse portfolio of Biologic projects. This person will play a key role to ensure effective and consistent alignment of priorities with project teams and the larger Global Biologics organization, develop project plans to meet critical timelines, and ensure the successful execution of project priorities. The successful candidate will actively collaborate with groups across AbbVie’s research sites to promote best practices and drive optimal utilization of Discovery resources.
Support the development and execution of project plans, including timing and deliverables, to advance Biologics programs across all therapeutic areas and ensure adherence to timelines.
Develop and maintain timelines to track milestones and other program activities
Operate with a strategic, cross-functional focus to ensure accountability within Global Biologics for workflow deliverables.
Identify and anticipate issues that threaten to delay timelines and bring these issues to the attention of key stakeholders.
Provide support in resolving issues, contingency planning, and risk mitigation.
Support Biologics projects by leading new strategic initiatives, supporting project/portfolio reviews, and organizing diligence assessments of new technologies.
Support cross-Therapeutic Area prioritization of program activities through effective communication of capacity, capabilities, and program readiness.
In close collaboration with the Strategic Portfolio Management group, contribute to program tracking and benchmarking efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
